Don’t just take my word for it. Here’s what some of my lovely meal plan members have said…

“It’s just so nice to not have to cook multiple meals all the time, and to have things that we all like or that we can rejig to suit everyone’s tastes or people eating at different times. This week we made the Goan curry and the whole family loved it. The baby even wanted seconds. The adults added extra chilli at the table as you suggested and it just worked so well.”

“I just want to tell you how much my husband and I are enjoying your meal plans. We don’t have any children and both work long hours so I wasn’t sure if it would be useful for us. I was wrong. It’s perfect! The recipes are so easy and quick to make even though the results seem like I should have been cooking for hours! I was a pretty confident cook but in a rut and getting lazy, shopping every day. I’ve learned so much from the lovely way you explain things and we’re saving a fortune too.”

“The deciding/planning/shopping hurdle was too high for us when it came to cooking so this is the perfect service. Since we’ve been using the plans and shopping lists we have eaten better than we have since we both lived with our mothers! We’re also using the recipes as part of our baby-led weaning with our son and he’s loving them too.”

“This has been a revelation for me and my family. After going back into the school run, juggling five after school clubs and two full time jobs, I for once didn’t have the ‘oh no what are we going to have for dinner tonight’ feeling – which always took me over the edge. The children have embraced the plan and have been involved in cooking and keen to try new things. Thank you Gemma for making our home more calm, delicious and organized. Oh and for saving us at least $30 a week on food shopping.”

“I have learnt so much from Gemma, not just from her delicious recipes but also her philosophy of using up leftovers and cooking once, eating twice. I now have a freezer stocked with pots (all labelled with masking tape!) of meals I’ve made double of and will reheat and serve in a different way. I can now also look into my fridge and come up with ways to use leftover ingredients instead of throwing them away. She has definitely saved me money and my sanity – we no longer throw away loads of food and my children eat a more varied diet now that I only have to cook one meal a night.”

Do the meal plans work for families with teenagers or babies?

The plans are designed to work for any shape of family. In the welcome booklet I explain how to adjust the recipes to suit the number of people you are cooking for. From families with only two adults at home to families with babies who are being weaned, and just as many people using the recipes to cook for a household of constantly hungry teenagers. In fact, loads of teenagers have been using the recipes to cook their own and their families meals – win win!

One of my children is vegetarian, will these plans work for us?

Each recipe comes with details of how to cook it if you’re dealing with people with allergies, dietary requirements or dislikes and covers off making gluten, meat, fish or dairy free versions. The whole idea of the plans is you just make one meal a night but serve the meals in a way that everyone can dip in and out of to suit their individual needs.

I don’t have much time to cook, will these recipes work for me?

All the recipes and tips are built around the fact that most of us only have 30 minutes of hands-on cooking time available to us. So some recipes are ready in less time that that, some are prepped in a few minutes then thrown in the oven so you can go off and do other things. Every recipe comes with tips for how to sneak in prep for future meals, how to prep ahead and what to do with leftovers.
